West Haven, Connecticut: Hailey Miller, a young mother and aspiring nursing student, was stabbed to death by her boyfriend in her apartment at Meloy St. on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
She was only 19-year-old at the time of her demise, and alongside her, her boyfriend’s two-and-a-half-year-old son was also found dead.

West Haven authorities received multiple 911 calls at around 8:50 p.m. reporting yelling and screaming. Later, they arrested her boyfriend at the scene and continued investigating the incident.
They also addressed there is no ongoing threat to the neighborhood.
Hailey Miller’s Family Mourns The Tragic Loss
As an aspiring nursing student, Hailey Miller always looked forward to furthering her education and career. She was also a hard-working mother whose life was filled with love and care.
The West Haven community is mourning her tragic loss, and they remember her in their heartfelt condolence.
Hailey grew up with her two elder brothers and cousin, Nicolette Nealy, who was becoming a yoga instructor and looking forward to having Hailey in her first class.
However, her passion was being a caring mother to her son, Jackson, and she was always genuinely concerned about providing Jackson with the best possible care.
She often worried about what program he should be in and where he should be right now. Her number one priority was her son’s well-being.
Furthermore, Nicolette had a great bond with Jackson and often cared for him when Hailey was occupied with her work. Jackson has to live without a woman who means everything to him.
The second I got there, he’s like, ‘Are you here to take care of me now Nicolette since Mommy’s gone?’ and I just didn’t know what to say. And he said, ‘When I go back home Mommy’s not going to be there, I won’t see Mommy.’ I said, ‘Where does Mommy live?’ and he said, ‘I’ll always feel Mommy’s love, she’s in my heart forever.’

Hailey’s kindness touched everyone who knew her, and Michael Haskell has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser on behalf of Rebecca Malerba.
They aim to raise $50,000 to honor her memory and support her toddler son for his future needs.
She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her sudden departure has saddened her loved ones, struggling to cope with the deep gap she left behind.
Moreover, her friends described her as someone who radiated positivity and made others feel loved and valued. The whole community supports her family during this difficult time.
Nonetheless, Hailey’s family has yet to announce her funeral arrangements and memorial services. They will probably request some donations to honor her legacy instead of flowers.
