Vance Ottati was a dedicated student-athlete at LaSalle Institute in Troy, NY, where he played on the JV Football team from 2020 to 2024.

The La Salle Booster Club has shared the sad news of Vance Ottati ’23’s passing. Vance was a cherished friend, brother, and athlete at La Salle Institute.
The community is asked to keep the Ottati family, his friends, former teammates, teachers, and all who knew and loved him in their thoughts and prayers.
Further, a person who knew him, Denise Resta-Tobin, expressed how deeply saddened she was by the loss.
She shared that Vance was her son’s teammate and a student in her class.
She remembered him for his sense of humor, kindness, and the way his smile could brighten any room.
During this difficult time, she prayed for Vance and his family.
This breaks my heart. Not only was he a teammate of my son’s, he was a student in my class. He always made me laugh and was so incredibly kind. His smile lit up the room. He and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.
