Maple Grove’s Espoir Christopher Missite Died At The Age Of 16
Espoir Christopher Missite, a Maple Grove High School track athlete, tragically passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 16.
As per the reports, he suffered a cardiac arrest at around 5 p.m. following track practice at Maple Grove High School.
Maple Grove Deputy Fire Chief Jeremy Berger said that responders received a CPR call to a service road behind the high school and found Missite collapsed.
Principal Bart Becker identified the student as 16-year-old junior Espoir Misste, a sprinter with the Crimson.
Two ambulance crews tended to Missite at the scene before he was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Alain Hambike has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser campaign to raise $22,000 for general and medical costs. The campaign has raised over $16,500.
Missite’s best friend’s mother, Deb Saar Thompson, also shared the GoFundMe page to her official Facebook handle and wrote,

A Maple Grove High School track athlete, Espoir Missite, 16, was born in 2008 in Minnesota, United States, to his father, Joe Missite, and his mother, whose identity has not been made public.
