Austin Wells Followed The Footsteps Of His Parents, Greg Wells And Michelle Wells
Austin’s father, Greg Wells, a former UA baseball player, was confronted with how surprising life can be.
He pointed out that Austin is in a much better place now than he would have been if he had signed right out of high school.
Austin’s mom, Michelle, a former UA gymnast, remembers him showing impressive hand-eye coordination as early as 2.
The parents, Greg and Michelle, had no idea he would one day be a severe prospect for Major League Baseball.
Michelle mentioned that she and her husband drew from their sports backgrounds to guide their kids.
They encouraged all their sons—Austin, Carson, and Mason—to stay active in sports.
Carson is committed to playing baseball at USC, and Mason is being recruited for Division I lacrosse.
While Austin played lacrosse, he always found his way back to baseball, drawn by its unique challenges.
He believes his lacrosse experience helped him improve as a baseball baserunner.
