Born in Worcester and raised in Shrewsbury, Viscardi graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1952, excelling in sports and student government.

Frank received the Dr. Phillip J. Tardanico Award for outstanding contribution to technology education in 1997 and was involved in writing the Massachusetts Framework for Technology Education.
He briefly coached soccer for Framingham State College.

As per his family, his funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 7- West Main St., Westborough, and burial will follow in St Luke’s Cemetry.
Calling hours are scheduled at the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 4 to 7 P.M.

Frank Viscardi Had Four Children With His Late Wife, Patricia A. Durkin
Hall of Famer Frank Viscardi married Patricia A. Durkin in 1960. After Frank retired, they enjoyed traveling through Europe.
Patricia was born on June 19, 1936, to her father, Harold Durkin, and her mother, Anna M. DeRosa, in Jersey City.
Patricia was raised in Jersey City and Bayonne, NJ, and graduated from St. Dominic Academy in 1954 and trained as a registered nurse at the Jersey City Medical Center, graduating in 1957.

Her career included work at Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester, but she found her niche as an occupational health nurse.
She worked at Bay State Abrasives, Massachusetts Electric, Honeywell, and NEC.
Sadly, she passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018, at 81, after a three-year battle with cancer.
However, Frank and Pat had four children: Kenneth, Steven, Gail Granger, and Beth Viscardi.
Their son Kenneth was married to Linda, and daughter Gail was married to Lance Granger.
Per the source, Frank and Pat had five grandchildren: Caitlin Gallegos, Lindsey Granger, Emily Granger, Anna Viscardi, and Jessica Knight.
