John Alexander Robinson, an American football coach best known as the head coach of the USC and NFL’s Los Angeles Rams, recently passed away at 89, leaving his wife and family devastated.
According to reports, John Robinson passed away on Monday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, of complications from pneumonia.
Furthermore, throughout his life, he led several football teams, including the University of Southern California and the NFL’s L.A. Rams, in their tremendous success.

David Robinson, the eldest son of John Robinson and his wife, continues a family legacy of football excellence, following in the footsteps of his late father.
Currently, the defensive line coach at Fullerton College, David has built his own path with a coaching career over 25 years.
Similarly, with his exceptional football skills, he joined the Hornet coaching staff team.
Before joining Fullerton College, David showcased his coaching skills at Golden West College, where he served as Defensive Coordinator.
Moreover, under his guidance, the team achieved a 15-7 record, made two bowl appearances, and recorded an impressive 57 turnovers.
As the son of John Robinson, David has witnessed football at the highest levels. He’s been involved as an assistant coach in six bowl games, including memorable moments in the 1996 Rose Bowl and 1995 Cotton Bowl.
Likewise, before beginning his journey as a football coach, David showed his football skills at Sonora High School and earned all-league recognition as their best player.
David also played football with the Hornets under Hal Sherbeck, where he played on the 1983 national title team. He graduated from Long Beach State in 1987.

Four days before John Robinson’s demise, David shared about his father’s health condition, stating that John was in a hospital in Baton Rouge suffering from complications from pneumonia and was on oxygen and morphine.
