Michael was a former IT contractor at Nissan from February 2014 to March 2019.

As head coach of the U10 team, he was dedicated to developing young potential and a passion for the game. He was renowned for his exceptional coaching skills and helped others as a coach and a friend.

In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Michael was well-known for being a team player and community leader who was always willing to assist wherever possible.
Michael Johnson’s Family Mourns The Tragic Loss
Michael Johnson was married and had two children, Jack and Charlie. His wife, Carrie–Ann, passed away one year before him, and his tragic demise has left the Johnson family devastated.
Carrie passed away on March 5, 2024, and Michael helped his boys through the grief, turning their sadness around.
The Hurworth Albion community has responded with an outpouring of support for the boys during this challenging time. They organized a GoFundMe fundraiser for Michael’s two children.
Moreover, they came together as a family and asked others to provide support and hope for one of their own.
Michael managed Hurworth Albion U10s, and his son Jack played for Hurworth Albion once. The Johson siblings experienced an unimaginable loss with both parents’ deaths.

Hurwoth Albion began fundraising to raise £4.5K, and they have already received more than their goal from 117 donors. Moreover, their objective isn’t just to raise funds and show that the Johnson family is not alone in their journey.
Jack and Charlie are going through unimaginable hardships, but they find strength in the community’s support during this challenging time.
Undoubtedly, the Hurworth Albion community will continue to honor his memory and the values he instilled in the team and the broader community.
Conversely, Miranda Black, Carrie, and Michael’s friends organized a fundraiser for Jack and Charlie.
Furthermore, Northallerton Town Junior FC hosted Hurworth Albion Hawkes in the final league game of the season. Both teams stood for a minute of silence following Michael Johnson’s unexpected and heartbreaking passing.
