Austin Capobianco, 38-year-old New York Yankees fan, is in the spotlight for his interference call during Game 4 of the World Series. However, he isn’t arrested.
He tried to rip the ball from Mookie Betts‘ glove and was ejected from the game alongside another fan.

During Game 4, Austin and another Yankees fan sitting in the front row near the foul pole in right field disturbed the match between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees.
The Dodgers lost the match in an 11-4 win for the Yankees.
Previously, Mookie was involved in a similar incident with fans during the ALCS in 2018. He was playing for the Boston Red Sox at that time.
Austin Capobianco Interference Ejected Him From The Game
New York Yankees fan Austin Capobianco and another fan sitting next to him were immediately sent out during the first inning of Game 4 at Yankees Stadium.
Austin, from Connecticut, just wanted to watch the game, but his wish was unfulfilled because of his involvement in the controversial incident.

Gleyber Torres lifted a high pop into right-field foul territory at the bottom of the first inning, but Mookie Betts snagged the ball with his glove above the padded wall.
Austin grabbed Mookie’s glove and knocked the ball back onto the field. Later, umpires called out fan interference, and Gleyber was out.
29-year-old Darren Capobianco, Austin’s brother, saw Mookie’s glove over the concrete wall as he tried to catch the ball.
I just see the ball kind of — I don’t want to say (go) up for grabs.

And then Mookie was swearing at us. Not good.
Yankees Stadium’s security quickly arrived and ejected their fans from the stands.
Former MLB umpire Dale Scott said it was one of the most aggressive fans ripping the ball out of the player’s glove he had ever seen.
Some fans saw them as heroes for trying to save the Yankees in the championship game, whereas others requested they be arrested for disturbing the game.
Austin and another Yankees fan could lose their season ticket or even face a possible ban from the stadium.
Furthermore, the Connecticut native seemed private and ignored being interviewed by several media outlets. His parents and wife might have been shocked to see his news on the television screen.
