Likewise, he reported on the presidential campaign of Bill Clinton in 1992 and covered the 51-day siege at the Branch Davidian compound in 1993.

He hosted the LiveWire show and became the regular play-by-play announcer for Raw is War in December 1998.

My kids aren’t wrestling fans. They don’t watch the product, I go to work and I do my job and I go home and we talk about the world and not WWE. I think that’s helped me as a performer as it’s helped my longevity here as well.

Nonetheless, the married couple has enjoyed a happy and successful romantic life for decades.

Michael Cole Debuted As A Wrestler Inside A Ring

On July 28, 2008, Michael Cole teamed up with Jerry Lawler against Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase for the World Tag Team Championship, but they lost the match.

However, he began a feud with Jerry in 2010 and interfered in a WWE Championship between Jerry Lawler and The Miz, costing Lawler the match on November 29, 2010.

Their feud built towards a match at WrestleMania XXVII, where special referee Stone Cold Steve Austin announced Jerry won the match.

However, the Raw General Manager reversed the decision and declared Michael the winner by disqualification due to Austin’s involvement in the match.

Michael teamed with his trainer, Jack Swagger, to defeat Jim Ross and Jerry in a Country Whipping match at Extreme Rules on May 1, 2011.

His feud with Jerry ended when Jerry defeated him in a “Kiss My Foot” match at Over the Limit on May 22, 2011.

Furthermore, Michael has provided his voice as a commentator in numerous WWE video games. He appeared as a playable character in WWF No Mercy, WWE ’12, and WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role.
