Basketball player Nickiah Metcalf lost her life in a tragic car accident on Saturday.
Metcalf was originally from Cartersville, Georgia, and attended Excel Christian Academy. Later, she attended Woodland High School, where she played basketball as a point guard and small forward on the 2020 varsity team.

After graduating in May 2020, she studied for a Bachelor of General Studies at Kansas Christian College.
At Kansas College, she played 22 games, starting 19, and logged 787 minutes, averaging 35.8 minutes per game.
Overall, she made 64 of 275 field goal attempts, shooting 23.3% from the field, and hit 5 of 62 three-point attempts, with an 8.1% three-point shooting percentage.
She converted 55 of 102 attempts from the free-throw line, shooting 53.9%.
She contributed 42 assists but struggled with ball control, recording 123 turnovers, leading to an assist-to-turnover ratio of 0.3.
Nickiah also recorded 27 steals and 3 blocks. Offensively, she scored 188 points, averaging 8.5 points per game and 9.6 points per 40 minutes.

My heart is full and my words are few. Im going to miss this baby right here. My kids were Nickiah Metcalf neighborhood siblings . From her and my daughter Honnah Mosley cheering together in middle school , Riding to school with the crew,To asking her big brother Ericson Mosley to be her date for prom If you knew kiah she didn’t ask him she told him LOL . Nickiah Metcalf was born on December 3, 2001, in Cartersville, Georgia, United States, to her father, Dewayne Metcalf, and her mother, Nicole Metcalf.
Her father, Dewayne, is originally from Rome, Georgia, and is a partner at EMT Lending.
Dewayne has always been passionate about Real Estate. He has studied the market for over ten years as an investor and property manager.
He has also managed multiple renovation projects and private lending.
Nickiah wished Dewayne a happy Father’s Day on June 20, 2022, through her Facebook handle with the caption,

To know Nickiah was to love her- her spirit and smile lights up any room! Please keep us lifted in your prayers, we’ll post funeral arrangements once we have them.
