The Mavs started strong and then Clarkson and Mitchell got hot. The Mavs had to shoot 70% in the 3rd to come back, but missed crucial free throws in the 4th to lose 100-99
The big story of this game was Jordan Clarkson. He absolutely dominated as 6th man and
the Jazz with an 18 +/- and 25pts.
The game was pretty even statistically. The main difference was Rudy Gobert getting a ridiculous 10 offensive rebounds to get the Jazz lots of second chance points.
The Mavs even shot better than the Jazz, but couldn't cope with Gobert's domination on the boards.
Its tough to choose between Gobert and Clarkson, but I have to go with Clarkson. He did his job perfectly while Gobert could have delivered more blocks.
Spencer Dinwiddle came on at the end of the game and couldn't find his shot, hurting Dallas in a critical stretch when they had momentum.
