Theresa Mathis Campbell, who hailed from Seattle, Washington, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025.
Theresa was passionate about skiing and spent much of her younger years exploring the western United States.

In 1981, Theresa Mathis Campbell met her future husband, Mike Campbell, in Aspen.
They eventually moved to Breckenridge, where they married and later settled in Frisco to raise their son, Riley.

Theresa was deeply involved in the Summit County community. She served as the President of the Summit Rotary Club, volunteered with the Summit Foundation, and helped organize the Mountain Community Fair alongside Mike for many years.
She was also active in her son’s educational journey, working at Dillon Valley Elementary and Summit Middle School and as the assistant athletic director at Summit High School.
Theresa and Mike’s commitment to the sport was evident through the Rocky Mountain Freestyle Division’s participation in prestigious competitions, including the Freestyle Junior Olympics at Silver Mountain, Idaho.
Further, the pair’s dedication went beyond coaching. They created a tight-knit community of athletes, ranging from 7-years-old to young adults, all united by their passion for mogul skiing and aerial tricks.
Theresa will be fondly remembered for her energy, zest for life, and that unforgettable smile.
She loved adventure and would often be seen driving fast with the windows down and the radio blasting.
She is survived by her brother, her dedicated husband Mike, and her son Riley, who always holds her close in his thoughts and memories.
