Steven Tyler Loop began playing football at Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas. He was a two-star recruit who committed to play college football for the Arizona Wildcats.
He chose the Wildcats because he saw the opportunity to develop into the best kicker.
Tyler was the Wildcats’ punter during the 2020 season and punted 24 times for 1,033 yards with an average of 43.0 yards per punt.
During the 2021 season, he transitioned to kicker and was perfect on all his kicks, converting on all 12 of his field goal attempts and all 12 of his extra points.
Tyler helped the Wildcats win over Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Utah.
Moreover, he was named the Lou Groza Star of the Week in week 5 and earned Big 12 Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors in week 6.
During the 2024 season, he was named a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award for his performance.
Furthermore, the Baltimore Ravens drafted him in the sixth round (186th overall) in the 2025 NFL draft.
