DeAnna stated in her Facebook post that Darwin Sr. was one of her son’s two former football coaches.
“Lord I’m heartbroken 2 of my sons former football coaches have passed away within a week.. My condolences to the Mann family as they go through this time of grief. The fact I just spoke with Darwin D Mann Sr. About me a new mailbox at my new address and now he’s gone.. I’m so sorry to the family and will continue to keep you all lifted in prayer.”

The other coach who passed away was the late Alonzo Lee Moore.
While DeAnna posted about Darwin’s demise on February 11, she gave her condolences to Alonzo’s family three days prior.
Darwin Sr. often shared pictures of his son’s school football matches, expressing his pride and contentment.
