A fatal car crash claimed the life of 17-year-old Elizabeth “Libby” Radecki on February 14, 2025.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene just after 4 p.m.
Deputies arrived at Stagecoach Trail North and 10th Street North in West Lakeland Township following reports of a two-vehicle accident.
They found Radecki with life-threatening injuries. First responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene. Sadly, the Woodbury teen succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle survived the crash. This person went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No passengers were in either vehicle.
Investigators believe weather played a role in the accident. Poor road conditions from light snowfall likely contributed to the crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported over 400 crashes across the state that day.
St. Croix Prep Academy in Stillwater released a statement following the tragedy.
While not directly confirming Radecki as a student, they acknowledged the death of an Upper School student.
The school expressed deep sympathies to the family. They withheld further details out of respect for privacy.
The school community began the process of mourning and healing together.
The accident remains under investigation. The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

She brings over 20 years of experience to her professional role.
Her expertise spans channel integration, direct sales, marketing, and communications.
