We take a look at the data behind each matchup as well as injuries, new signings, and our staff’s gut feelings. Please enjoy and remember to visit the Sports Talk Line Fantasy rankings tools each week to give your team the winning edge in your fantasy league!

START

Mark Andrews – Ravens

You’ve been hearing all offseason about the issue with QB Lamar Jackson and his contract and how it is going to affect … ignore the chatter. Jackson and Andrews will be on the same page vs the Jets. Feel comfortable about starting Andrews after a Ravens tumultuous offseason.

Mark Andrews Ravens

Travis Kelce – Chiefs

Travis Kelce has Patrick Mahomes throwing him the rock and this early in the season there are no bumps and bruises to slow him down. Nothing should slow you down from starting this fantasy stud either.

George Kittle – 49ers

It’s Kittle and he’s healthy. That is all you have to know. The opponent is secondary.

SIT

Kyle Pitts – Falcons

The young TE has a new QB this season and as talented as he is the young man is not matchup-proof. The Saints D is always tough and we have no idea what the Falcons are going to look like this season. One risky start. Sit him.

Dalton Schultz – Cowboys

The Cowboys didn’t get the long-term deal done with Schults this offseason so he is playing on the tag and missed some time this offseason as the two sides played Mexican standoff. That always puts a hit on the chemistry and it may take a game or two for Dak and Schultz to get in sync. There are better options in week 1.

T.J. Hockenson – Lions

The Lions get a TOUGH Philly D and Hock still has Goff throwing him the ball. Love the talent, not the matchup or the QB. Site him.
