NFL Week 16 Review is here and what a mind-blowing week it was! Monday Night Football is still on tap but the playoff picture is shaping up and surprises abound as teams wilt or explode. Here are a few takes from NFL Week 16 that stick out.
NFL Week 16 Review
49ers toast with Garoppolo at QB
The 49ers and Jimmy Garoppolo left their season in Nashville as Jimmy had every chance to win the game in the 4th and failed. His next call should be to his real-estate agent.
Baker Mayfield – Questions Abound
4 interceptions in the 1st half or Cleveland smokes Green Bay. They lose by 2 and questions abound for the tough, moxie, signal-caller. Browns have a team, do they have a QB?
5 Teams Clinch NFL Playoff Birth
Green Bay is now joined by the Dallas Cowboys, LA Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Arizona Cardinals all with golden tickets.
Arizona loses 2nd in a row
Let that headline sink in. After getting blown out by Detroit last week they lose a tough game to the Colts in the 4th. NOT playoff football.
Don’t leave time on the clock in the 4th and give Aaron Rodgers the ball back
If your team is up by less than two scores and you let Aaron Rodgers have the ball with time on the clock in the 4th quarter, you will lose.
Trevon Diggs gets his 11th

Trevon Diggs gets his 11th pick of the season on the first offensive play from scrimmage for Washington with Diggs in 1-on-1 coverage deep. Why, why, oh why do teams continue to test this kid? He tracked the ball better than the guy he was defending and curved his route so perfectly it looked like he was the intended receiver when he took it.
The Dallas Cowboys Trevon Diggs now has 11 interceptions on the season firmly eyeing the NFL record of 14.
Eagles are good, when facing bad teams
The Eagles continue to bounce back and forth from horrible to interesting as they ride a resurgent ground game to victory, against bad teams. That’s all they are in 2021.
Buffalo Bills own the AFC East
Until the Patriots prove otherwise, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills own the AFC East. How far can they go after that is the next question.
Rams can win when playing bad
The LA Rams did not play their best football this past weekend, yet they still put down the Vikings 30-23 and in truth had no problem doing it. Can they get in sync in time?
Cheifs are ready for the NFL Playoffs

Mahomes is on fire, the running game is clicking, receivers are getting separation and the defense is playing with urgency. Get out of the way AFC.
Chargers are the Chargers
Never say die. The Chargers had every reason to roll over the Texans. It didn’t happen. Herbert threw picks and Davis Mills was perfect. Why we play the game.
Cowboys score 56 points
Dallas had all three units score against Washington and the game was over by the end of the 1st quarter.
