Thornhill played four years at Virginia, the last three as a starter. A versatile player, he spent time at safety and corner, but the former is where his skills lie. He reads the plays incredibly well and has a high footballing IQ. Works well in deep coverage and man on man. Always in position to challenge the football, Thornhill is a great attacker of the ball and not the man. His length and physicality will see him project well in the NFL.

Thornhill with a nice read and a great ankle tap

Pro Comparison:

Earl Thomas

Overall Review:

He is ready to be an NFL starter from week one this year. Would work better as a free safety in a cover – 3 technique. He will cause headaches for receivers for years to come.
