NHL Canucks Vs Panthers October 28th Thrilling Battle Of Strong Teams

Canucks vs Panthers A Battle of Teams Playing Some Good Hockey

Canucks Vs Panthers Monday night from Rogers Arena in Vancouver. A battle of two teams playing some stellar hockey.  We were in store for a good one tonight. Both up there in the NHL standings.

The straight Panthers come in with points in 8 straight games. a 4-0-4 record capped off with a road win last night. a 6-2 thumping of the Edmonton Oilers and they should have been ready to go.

The Canucks were coming off a tough loss Friday night. A 6-5 Shoutout loss to the Washington Capitals. Vancouver was also on a bit of a hot streak coming in having gotten points in 7 of the last 8 games.

Canucks Vs Panthers we were in for an exciting Monday night game. It did not disappoint! Unless you are a Florida fan then it was really disappointing.

A Fresh Face Back In For Canucks vs Panthers

Tyler Motte was out with a lower-body injury. After a call up from the Utica Comets, most fans thought that Adam Gaudette would be the sure replacement.

Even more, fans were disappointed to learn that Loui Eriksson would be filling the vacant spot on the 4th line instead.

After watching this one I don’t think Canucks Fans were too upset with the decision. Not only did he get in on the scoring but he looked strong on the forecheck in his 13:04 of Ice Time.

A Dominant 1st Period Canucks vs Panthers

It was a Battle of backups Monday night as Thatcher Demko got the start for Vancouver. And across the ice, Florida sent out Sam Montembeault.

It did not start out or end well for the Panthers goalie. An early rush by Josh Leivo, Micheal Ferland and Brandon Sutter led to give and go. Just like that the Canucks were up 1-0 after 1:14 on the Sutter Goal.

They didn’t stop there. Goals by Tim Schaller and #ShotGunJake Virtanen and the Canucks had an early 3-0 led. The Panthers made a goaltending change bringing in Sergei Bobrovsky. He did not stop the bleeding.

It did give Florida a quick boost as they were able to get one back. Brian Boyle beat Demko on a nice shot after Leivo failed to clear it. 3-1 Canucks Vs Panthers.

J.T. Miller scored at the 9:35 mark from Pettersson and Edler to make it 4-1. After dominating most of the play and getting saves from Demko when they needed it The Canucks ended the period with Edler, Ferland, to Leivo to make it 5-1 to end the 1st period.

Second Period Canucks Played Strong And Keep Momentum

The Second started off very slow. Florida put back in Montebeault. It makes sense as Bobrovsky played last night in the win and he needs some rest.  A back and forth 10 minutes saw nothing happening for either team.

A tripping penalty to Alex Edler gave Florida A Powerplay. Mike Hoffman scored for his 6th of the season. Just like that Canucks Vs Panthers could be a game.

Most of the momentum in the second belonged to Florida. A couple of penalties by Vancouver and they couldn’t get anything going. Tyler Myers took a delay of game penalty with 4:41 left in the second. Canucks fans could remember Friday all too well right now.

The Canucks Vs Panthers powerplay was able to kill it off. Not only that they were able to take back momentum. To end the period the Alien carried it in held it, held it. Then he found Edler at the point who has done what he has been so good at this year. Got the shot through and J.T. Miller was able to tip it home to make it 6-2 to end the period.

Canucks vs Panthers Don’t Make Fridays 3rd Period Mistakes

If Vancouver learned anything from Friday night’s loss it was to not let up. Monday Canucks Vs Panthers was a great example of that. Out shooting Florida 22-12 after two periods they kept pilling it on.

The second line of Horvat, Virtanen and Ferland looked fast all night. Ferland had a turnover early in the 3rd but fought back hard and ended up throwing a hit in the other team’s zone. Even Eriksson looked good.

Aleksander Barkov looked to get rattled in the corner with a wrist injury. He was slow to get up after going down on the sidewall halfway through the period. Luckily for Panthers fans, he was able to shake it off.

Wasn’t enough to stop the Canucks Vs Panthers. It was very evident they learned a lesson. Brock Boeser the only forward so far not to get a point was feeling lonely. He got in on the action at the 13:20 mark of the 3rd.

Quinn Hughes and Petey got in on the action setting him up in the slot for a beautiful shot. 7-2 Vancouver. They didn’t let up keeping the pressure up rolling through lines. All 4 lines looked very strong tonight and they ended up with the 7-2 win.

Good Homestand for Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks ended their brief two-game homestand. They should be able to talk a lot from it going on a California road trip. The Canucks Vs. Panthers and Capitals scored 12 goals and only let in 7. Pretty much everyone was on the score sheet and the player with the most Ice time… you guessed it Jordie Benn with 20:50.

The Panthers western road trip continues Wednesday Vs the very good Colorado Avalanche. while the Canucks go again Wednesday in Los Angeles against the Kings. Vancouver will look to continue their high scoring. Last time they played the Kings they put up 8 goals.

Tonight was a full out team game and very exciting if you were a fan. Let’s hope Vancouver can keep up what they are doing. Canucks Vs Panthers was exciting.
