When the Antonio Brown drama started to unfold this morning my first thoughts were Brown is going to be a Patriot at the end of the day. I even posted this on twitter this morning before he was officially released by the Raiders.

Antonio Brown was officially released around noon today and everyone started to speculate where Brown would end up. I kept with my stance, it’s going to be the Patriots because that’s the way it always happens. Here I am shortly after 5:00 pm and I get the official word on my phone from Ian Rapoport.
Antonio Brown agrees to a 1 year deal worth up $15mil with the #Patriots. $9mil signing bonus. Wow.

A one-year deal worth up to 15 million with 9 million guaranteed. Antonio Brown is now a Patriot along with Josh Gordon and Julian Edelman. When the Patriots are in a three-wide receiver set, it will be Brown, Gordon, and Edelman. When Brady drops back to pass it will be Brown, Gordon, and Edelman. Who do you cover? I don’t know who opposing defenses are going to cover, but I am going to have another drink because this is what always happens.
Good news for Steelers and their fans, Brown will not be eligible to play for the Patriots on Sunday Night Football but he’ll be available after that.
Remember Brady and Moss almost 1500 yards and 23 touchdowns. My Dad remembers because he had Brady and Moss on his fantasy team. It was the one and the only year he has ever played, and he was the champion. This is the perfect ending to the Antonio Brown timeline that I wrote earlier today.
If it ain’t football news, is it worth reading?
