D.J. Moore 2019 Fantasy Outlook

#28 WR D.J. Moore 2019 Fantasy Outlook

D.J. Moore (Panthers)

6’0, 210 lbs

D.J. Moore had a heck of a rookie season while only starting 10 games. He put up 55 receptions for 788 yards, imagine him in his second season and starting all 16 and that is what makes the D.J. Moore 2019 Fantasy Outlook so strong. Usually rookie’s struggle, especially at the wide receiver position, but Moore showed out last year and should be much better in year two.

The only concern here is the Panthers‘ Cam Newton’s throwing shoulder. He had off-season shoulder surgery and has changed his throwing motion. That is the only knock against Moore as far as fantasy. He was a first round pick, runs good routes, has good hands, and his run after the catch is near elite.

Devin Funchess has left town and there isn’t a ton of receiver talent to compete with for targets. Moore put up almost 800 yards on only 82 targets last season. There will be a huge jump in not only targets but also red zone looks, as Moore looks to break out in 2019.

If Cam’s shoulder looks okay in camp, Moore is almost certain to go over 1,000 yards and the TDs will come for a playmaker with his ability.
