Wise has great gap penetration and was probably used in the wrong way by Kansas. He was excellent in the Shrine game when given a chance to play in a three-technique.
He has great hands and keeps blockers away with his leverage and balance at POC. Sets himself well and is an anchor to work from. Penetrating style to his play will make him an asset in the NFL.
He is a strong individual which was evident with his 22 reps on the bench at the Combine. Can play all along the line, but his best position will be determined by which franchise he lands at.
As I said, he is strong, but he needs to use that strength in the right way. He can get too caught up on one block and not release his opponent and go after another one. Needs to improve his run defense, but this will come to him in the pros.
All in all, he is a good player with plenty of upsides. Look for him In the 4th or 5th rounds.
