Blake Cashman tested unbelievably well at the NFL combine. So good in fact that his draft stock went through the roof. He has the talent and the footballing IQ to be an every-down player. He went from team walk-on to captain in one season. Plays with intensity and determination that will lift those around him to play better.
He is a solid communicator on the field, has quick feet and plays sideline to sideline. There is a lot to like about a guy who commands the field in front of him. He is a leader of men and will transition well into the NFL.
Still needs to work on shedding blocks. He doesn’t have the best use of hands at initial contact. Sometimes he needs help in the backfield as he isn’t the strongest of players. Having said this, he is only young and will continue to grow as an exceptional talent.
Cashman crosses the field to put a hit on the FB
He has a little Sean Lee about him.
I like this kid. He is a workhorse who leads by example. Look for him in round 3.
