Jachai Polite - EDGE

EDGE Jachai Polite NFL Draft Profile – Florida

Jachai Polite is all heart and determination, this will bode well for him in the NFL.

Jachai Polite

EDGE
Florida

Class Year: Junior
Height – 6’3″ Weight – 260 lbs
Twitter: @RetireMoms
Combine Results:
40 Yard Dash – 4.84 seconds
Vertical Jump – 32.0 Inches

Strengths:

Polite is an excellent pass rusher with a high ceiling. He has finesse instead of strength and uses it to his advantage well. His mobility is fantastic, and he has a good change of direction speed. At Florida, he was used mainly as a pass rusher but will need to continue to develop his game in the NFL. He is incredibly hard to defend on the edge and uses his body and hands well to bend around opponents.

As a blocker, he helps to open up inside routes for his teammates to attack the offense.

Weaknesses:

He is a little undersized for his position, but this has never stopped him attacking the QB with everything he has. His strength and length are average, but again, he is all heart and doesn’t let that slow him down. He is not going to be a first rounder and doesn’t possess as much as some of the other top rushers in this class, but he will grow into an excellent NFL starter in the future. Don’t sleep on him.

Overall Review:

There is a lot to like about Polite. For me, he has a second-round grade. He is a little down on the other rusher, but he has the heart of a lion and a never say die attitude to the game. These are things you cannot teach.
