Roger Goodwell’s daughter is a fan of the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed several league topics on Monday, February 3, 2025, including its diversity and equity and recent allegations of improper conduct against Raven Kicker Justin Tucker.
Highlights
- Recently, Roger Goodell addressed some serious topics about diversity and equity and Justin Tucker’s allegations.
- Roger Goodell was married to Jane Skinner, with whom he had twin daughters.
- Per reports, his daughter’s name is Susie Goodell and Sarah Goodell.
Goodell said he doesn’t believe the NFL’s policies to promote diversity conflict with President Donald Trump’s administration’s efforts to ban diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in the federal government.
The NFL has rules requiring teams to interview diverse candidates for key coaching and front-office positions as part of the Rooney Rule that has been in place for over two decades. He said,
“Our policies have been designed to be well within the law, well within the practice,” “There are no quotas in our system. This is about opening that funnel and bringing the best talent into the NFL. “We also believe we are doing the right thing for the NFL and our policies are consistent with the current administration as well as the last administration.”

Goodell said the league’s diversity efforts have improved the NFL and “attracted better talent.”
He also fielded many questions officiating ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
Roger said the notion reminded him of the past internet conspiracy theory that the NFL was “scripted.”
He told reporters that the league’s officials are evaluated in several ways beyond their field performance.
Goodell concluded by saying the NFL would look into the “serious” allegations that Tucker misbehaved during massage sessions from 2012-16 in the Baltimore area.
Tucker said last week that he has never received any complaints from a massage therapist or been told he was not welcome at a spa or other place of business. Goodell said,
“They are obviously serious issues and he is taking that seriously as are we,”

Roger Goodell And His Wife, Jane Skinner, Were Blessed With Twin Daughters
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell married former Fox News Channel anchor Jane Skinner on October 25, 1997.
They have been married for over 25 years, a relationship that all started with a conversation about football.
The pair met through mutual friends, though they lived in different States then.
Goodell was already working for the NFL in New York, while an ambitious, career-minded Skinner was on track to achieving her “dream job” in Chicago.
In 2001, the couple was blessed with twin daughters, who have been staying out of the spotlight.
Goodell has managed to keep his personal life under wraps despite being a typical headline in the NFL.

However, a source claims that one of Goodell’s twin daughters is Susie Goodell, and the other is Sarah Goodell.
They also claimed that Roger bought Susie one of the Legacy Bricks outside the $1.1 billion stadium as a Christmas present.
During an interview with USA Today in 2016, Skinner revealed that her daughters have been interested in sports from a young age.
They reportedly played several sports, including soccer, lacrosse, track, and tennis. Jane added,
“We have two 14-year-old twin daughters and they are in high school now,” Goodell said. “They play both team and individual sports: lacrosse, soccer, tennis and track. They’ve been on both winning and losing teams. We’ve been really fortunate that they have coaches who have emphasized the importance of having fun, of learning, of teamwork, and I think that sometimes gets lost in this day and age. It’s still so much fun for them. It does all the great things we know. … They’ve learned how to remain positive, be resilient. They have had losing seasons where they get back in the car and they’re still smiling and say, ‘We’ll get them next time.’ All that is priceless, I think, in developing character.”
Jane Skinner
In 2018, Roger visited Elon’s campus with his family, including his wife, Jane Skinner.
Then, he told Elon News Network that one of his daughters is interested in studying at Elon University.
Roger said her interest was sparked after they attended his niece’s graduation at Elon in 2016.
On Reddit, one of the users posted that Roger Goodell’s daughter is a Minnesota Vikings fan.
