In the post, Sandra addresses the child’s mental health and the teaching that shapes children’s lives and behaviour.

According to Sandra’s post, her son, Colton, was casually playing football when a stranger’s child called him “too big.”

The moment was captured on video by Cooper while she was trying to record her son having fun in the field.

Later, when her son saw the video she had recorded, he quietly said in a low, breathy voice, “I wish I wasn’t so fat,” which made Sandra even more worried.

Sandra also claims that her son has been dealing with challenges from his school football team for a long time, and this incident has added even more tension.

The incident has sparked a wider conversation about empathy and the impact of words on young minds.

Cooper also reflected on her own past, remembering how her mother worried about her when she was 13, and now her son is going through something similar.

Through her post, Cooper emphasized the importance of teaching children compassion, acceptance, and the value of supporting others.

Many people in the comments have shared their support and offered sympathy to Sandra and her son. One commenter wrote,

Kids are awful nowadays! Colton is perfect. He’s an amazing man. Awful to say but these kids never mature and continue their games’ throughout their lives. Tell Colton all the time that he’s perfect and amazing. We love our man!!

In the same post, another one wrote;

This is so sad. Personally I think you should call them out. These parents need to do better. Let them feel how embarrassing it is for everyone to know that is what they are raising. What’s even sadder is that I see ppl here showing empathy who also allow their kids to be bullies

The post has also inspired ideas for community support. Cooper mentioned the possibility of creating a space for children to talk openly about bullying.

Her post calls for parents, educators, and peers to foster kindness and empathy, teaching the next generation that their words can either uplift or harm.
