Man United vs Chelsea Review

Man United vs Chelsea Review: Both Teams Wanted Not To Lose More Than To Win

This was supposed to be a great matchup but in reality, Man United vs Chelsea was disappointed for all fans. Chelsea’s expensive summer additions couldn’t help Chelsea secure 3 points. A lot of rolling around especially in the 2nd half didn’t make the game fun to watch. Man United’s Edison Cavani showed glimpses of creativity but not even he could help his team secure 3 points.

Both managers came in the game with one goal not to lose. Both deployed very defensive and low risk strategies for majority of the game. It was very frustrating for players, managers and fans but securing a point is sometimes better than getting 3 right... Well or none.

There were very few positive takeaways from this game. Both teams demonstrated improvements in their defenses.

Mendy’s 90+1 minute save was probably the highlight of the game, credit is also due to Marcus Rashford who initiated well taken shot late in the game!

Mendy was the busier of the two keepers but with no goals in the game Manchester United sits on 15th and Chelsea on 6th after their matchup.

After Manchester City dropped points vs West ham United the title run may see a few more interesting twists this season, so stay tuned for Premier League news here on Sports Talk Line!
