Audi 2019 MLS Cup A Western Conference Battle

Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs Supporters Sheild Winners Get The Bye

Los Angeles Football Club made good on its second season. They won the Supporters Shield and will get a bye in the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs.

A change in the Playoff format this year. The Audi 2019 MLS Cup now further rewards the Conference Champions.  LAFC will get to rest and wait on their opponent after the first weekend of matches.

This isn't good news for the rest of the West. Golden Boot winner Carlos Vela will be well-rested and looking to continue on his great season. 34 Goals aren't going to be easy to gameplan for.

The Best of the Rest Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs

Minnesota United FC (15-11-8) 4th Seed Vs. LA Galaxy (16-15-3) 5th Seed -

Form Through the Last 5 Matches:

MUFC: 1-2-2 a loss to Seattle to end the season and a loss to Houston 0-2 surrounds a win and two draws.

LAG: 2-0-3 losses in their last two games to Houston and Vancouver being outscored 8-5.

An early-season win by the LA Galaxy at home and a 0-0 draw away. Those were the previous results between the teams. It will be a much different match come Sunday.

Two teams going different directions. The galaxy had a chance to clinch the number 2 seed a week ago. Two straight losses and they dropped to 5th and head on the road.

It will be a difficult environment in Minnesota. Early October is not the same as in Los Angelas. Zlatan Ibrahimovic will look to build on his 30 goal season.

Along with Zlatan, the Galaxy will look to Cristian Pavon to help out the big Swede upfront.

Minnesota United will look to their playmaker Darwin Quintero who has 10 goals and 5 assists on the season. The home fans will be looking to have a strong Wonderwall for the match.

Real Salt Lake Vs. Portland Timbers Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs

Real Salt Lake (16-13-5) 3rd Seed Vs. Portland Timbers FC (14-13-7) 6th Seed -

Form Through the Last 5 Matches:

RSL: 3-1-1 comes into the playoffs in fine form having clawed out two tough wins in the last couple weeks to secure a home match.

PTFC: 1-3-1 Portland limped to the finish with their only win coming in the final game of the season against San Jose.

Portland comes into this Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs down an important man.  Striker Brian Fernandez will likely miss the entire Playoffs after voluntarily checking him into the Leagues Substance Abuse Program.

They will have to turn to Jeremy Ebobisse who also scored 11 goals this year. Midfielder Deigo Valeri will need to be back to his 2015 MVP Calibre form.

Real Salt Lake will look to Albert Rusnak and his 10 goals and 5 assists. He will be important if RSL wants to move on to the next round.

RSL will also have to capitalize on a home game. Something they couldn't do in a 1-2 loss to the Timbers earlier in the year.

#2 Vs. #7 Seattle Dallas Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs

Seattle Sounders (16-10-8) 2nd Seed Vs. FC Dallas (13-12-9) 7th Seed -

Form Through The Last 5 Matches:

SFC: 3-1-1 The Sounders come into the playoffs on a high just like last year. Climbing up the Western Conference ladder to secure 2nd place.

FCD: 1-2-2 Rough end to the year but a positive blowout win against Sporting KC on Decision Day.

Dallas will look to use the momentum that got them into the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs. Ondrasek will be motivated after his Winner Vs. England.

Seattle Sounders will look towards the Emerald city Supports to make it hard to play against at home. A strong showing to end the year and Seattle will host until they have to face LAFC.

Jordan Morris is returning from the USMen Nationals Team. A dominant performance over Cuba and he should be ready to go.

The Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs should not disappoint. There was an 8 point difference between these two teams. 2nd and 7th that close. we should have a lot of great matches going forward.
