Manchester City Watford 8-0

Manchester City Watford 8-0 How It Happened?

Manchester City Just Scored 5 Goals Faster Than Anybody Else In Premier League

After the last week collapse in Norwich City and surprising loss 3-2 Manchester City decided to show no mercy to nobody coming to Etihad stadium. Manchester City has destroyed Watford in the first half of the game. Manchester City Scored 5 Goals in only first 18 opening minutes of the game on Saturday.

Not only this was the fastest that any Premier League team has ever scored 5 goals, but what makes this score even more surprising is that each goal was scored by a different player.

Manchester City At Their Best

David Silva opened the score in the first minute after a perfect cross from who else then cross specialist Kevin De Bruyne.

Sergio Aguero added second in 7 minute from a penalty kick, making it his 100th goal in Premier League.

In 12th minute, Riyad Mahrez put his name on the scoreboard after a great individual run that led to a free-kick just outside of the penalty box. Mahrez’s free-kick attempt hit Watford defender in his face and rickshaw behind Ben Foster’s back 3-0.

Bernardo Silva scored 4th goal of the game in 15th minute. Wide open and less than 5 yards away from the keeper after a corner kick. No problem for a mediocre player, so why would you allow a high caliber player like Bernardo Silva so much luxury? Well, Watford defense was clearly not at their best today.

The 5th goal came from Otamendi. Otamendi clearly wanted to remedy his mistake from last week when he got caught of guard by Norwich attacker after a blatant pass from Jone Stones (who is not starting today). Otamendi was on the receiving end of Sergio Aguero’s low driven pass and scored from a slide tackle 5-0

Here you have it. This is how the fastest 5 goals in Premier League history happened.

It was a sad day for Watford because Bernardo Silva added his 2nd goal in 48th minute of the game 6-0.

You would think that at this point Manchester City would show some mercy to their opponent. Well, Bernardo Silva clearly didn't get the memo. In the 61st minute, he completed his hattrick 7-0! It's been a while since a team in the Premier League scored 7 goals.

The game does not end in 61st minute...

Kevin De Bruyne decided to put his name on the scoreboard in 83rd minute with an amazing strike putting Man City to 8 goals tally.

Watford is sitting at the bottom of the Premier League and today's performance clearly didn't help the team morale and team spirit.

For Manchester City, this has been the biggest victory in Premier League. How will Liverpool answer to Manchester City being only 2 points behind? Liverpool will face a much tougher opponent than Man City did today - Chelsea can easily take points away from Liverpool. Man City fans couldn't want more!

To sum up this game. Watford picked a bad day to have a bad day...
