High school basketball standout Bryce Cofield has officially committed to California State University, Fullerton, marking a major step forward in his promising athletic journey.
The 6’5” senior guard, known for his passion and work ethic, will join the Titans’ roster for the 2025–26 season, adding depth and defensive power to Coach Dedrique Taylor’s squad.
Bryce Cofield Was A Key Piece For A Championship Program
Bryce comes to Cal State Fullerton as a three-star recruit from the prestigious Sierra Canyon School, one of the country’s most elite high school basketball programs.
This past season, Cofield was instrumental in helping Sierra Canyon capture the 2024–25 state championship.
He posted 13 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors for his elite two-way play.
According to Coach Taylor,
“Bryce is a physically gifted basketball player. He’s ready right now to guard and make a major impact for us defensively. Offensively, he’s a great fit with his ability to get downhill, touch the paint, and play in space.”
Taylor also praised Cofield’s winning mentality, adding:
“Bryce comes to us from another state championship high school program. Sierra Canyon isn’t just a powerhouse in Southern California—it’s one of the best in the nation.”

His mother, Gina Sutherland, is a pastor and devoted woman of faith from Los Angeles.
