Savion Hiter, the Louisa County High School senior, was captured together with his parents, family members, friends, and his ex-coaches during the announcement for Michigan.
Hiter, regarded as one of the best prospects, will play for the Wolverines. Unsurprisingly, other Universities, including Tennessee, Georgia, and Ohio State, did try to pursue him, but ultimately, he committed to the University of Michigan.
Here’s what Hitler had to say, why he chose the Wolverine, despite Georgia Bulldog’s effort to get him:
“The culture there is so different than any other school. It feels like a blessing to be there any time I’m there. They feel like family“
Hitter’s father also added, “I look at it as both schools had a lot to offer as far as academics and the way they develop their kids at the school. We enjoyed talking to a lot of the coaches that were there.”
A Future NFL Prospect?
Another reason for the commitment for the 2026 season is also a strong relationship with RB Coach Tony Affrord, who was formerly at OSU.
Even though his size is decent, the other factors that can make him a future NFL player are Burst, Agility, Running Style, Vision, and Balance.
He had 156 carries, rushed for 1698 yards, and 26 rushing touchdowns during the 2024 season.
While there’s a lot of time for him to join the team, he has a clear vision for his future, but not just in Football. He says;
“I feel like I need to be a leader on the team, like the biggest leader on the team, even my freshmen year. That’s my ultimate goal, and obviously getting an academic scholarship. My masters or something like that.”
Will Patrick, who will have his five-star recruit for one final year, also seemed glad as the signing back has made a good decision and followed his heart.
He also said, “It’s been a long road, this day in college football, being recruited at this level, it’s a lot. A lot of phone calls, text, people reaching out.”
