Reggie Rawls, 40, Baldwinsville Marathon Runner, Dies In Roof Fall While Shoveling, Leaving Parents Pamela And Reginald Sr.

Reggie Rawls parents could have never thought that he would leave too soon.

Reggie Rawls of Baldwinsville tragically passed away at the age of 40 on February 18, after falling off a roof while shoveling snow.

He was a dedicated runner in numerous 5K, 10K, and half marathons across upstate New York.

i can’t believe you’re gone. i am so happy i got to see you and hug you the last time i was in new york, just a few months ago. so so many memories with you, and i’ll never forget any of them. you always had time for me, you let me follow you everywhere growing up, and you made it a point to spend time with me anytime i was visiting. always picking me up and taking me to eat at your favorite spots or just riding around in your truck. i know you wouldn’t want me to be corny, but damn i am just so shocked and sad. i know you’re with grandma and grandpa now, but your absence here will be felt deeply. i love you Reggie

Family And Friends Mourn The Loss Of Reggie Rawls

She shared how much Reggie Rawls will be missed, remembering their recent encounter and how much she enjoyed his visits with Luna, who always knew where the snacks were at her desk.

Sally said goodbye with a heartfelt message, wishing Reggie peace as he “flies high” and rests in peace.

Further, Justin Arsenault shared how he first met Reggie Rawls four years ago, thanks to Brett Boismenu.

Reggie showed up wearing an old green Christmas sweater and brought his dog, Luna, to discuss a project for their backyard.

Over the next few years, Reggie became a good friend to the family. They shared countless conversations about their country, running, good bourbon, and playful banter.

Justin expressed his shock and difficulty processing the news of Reggie’s passing, ending with a heartfelt message: “We love you, bud. You will be missed. Rest in peace.

Reggie Rawls is survived by his father, Reginald Sr., of Baldwinsville, his mother, Pamela, and brothers, James W. Goult III and Anthony D. Goult.

Visitation will occur on Tuesday, February 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville, followed by burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Warners.
