John’s daughter Courtney Lynn Mara married Thomas Pownall Billings, a son of Marianne Pownall Billings and Eric F. Billing of Potomac, Md.
Courtney is a third-grade teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Bethesda, Md. She received a master’s degree in education from Manhattanville College.
Her husband Thomas is a partner in a hedge fund company that bears his name in Arlington, Va.
Their daughter, Lauren Ann Mara, is married to Steven Robert Chaput. They met at Boston College, from which they graduated.
