Pioneering Sports Agent Jim Solano Is Survived By His Wife Jennifer “Teri” Solano, And Their Daughter Lesley Solano

Jennifer "Teri" Solano attended Bedford Senior High School and later studied at Washington Hospital School of Nursing.

Jim Solano met his wife in an elevator while living in Society Hill Towers.

Jim Solano, a legendary figure in the sports agency industry, philanthropist, and professor, was born on January 9, 1944.

He sadly passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 81, due to an undisclosed cause.

Family and friends are invited to attend Jim’s visitation on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproud Road, Broomall, PA.

On January 31, 2025, there will be a visitation from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Thomas of Villanova Church, 800 East Lancaster Avenue, Villanova, PA.

Jim received his BS, MBA, and MS in Taxation degrees from Temple University.

He earned his CPA license in 1966 and started a CPA practice serving individuals and small businesses.

Jim leveraged his relationships with professional athletes to launch a sports agency business specializing in NFL contracts for players and coaches and later to include PGA golf professionals.

As an NFL Player Agent, he has represented over 800 players and coaches, including 500 from the Eagles. Players, coaches, and front-office management highly respected him for his professionalism, knowledge, and experience in the game.

Solano represented 18 of the 40 players on the Eagles 1980 Super Bowl team and 30 players and coaRyan’sn Buddy Ryan’s Eagles teams from 1986 through 1990

In 2021, client and longtime friend Harold Carmichael selected him to present him for his enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Jim Solano is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jennifer “Teri” Solano. They met in an elevator while living in Society Hill Towers and married in 1971.

According to her Facebook handle, Jennifer is originally from Bedford, Pennsylvania, but she lives with her family in Broomall, Pennsylvania.

She attended Bedford Senior High School and later studied at Washington Hospital School of Nursing.

Jennifer also studied accountancy at Philadelphia University. She has one brother, Jeff Jewell, who studied at Frostburg State University and works at Hampton Inn & Suites Academy Drive Bessemer.

She has one sister named Jeanie Jewell Imler, who studied at Allegany College of Maryland.

On August 19, 2012, Jennifer shared a glimpse of her visit to Terry Hoage Vinyard in Paso Robles, California, with her husband, Jim Solano.

Jim Solano and his wife Jennifer had one daughter, Lesley Solano Dente, in December 1975.

Lesley is married to Christopher Dente, with whom she has three children: Jack, Kate, and Andrew Dente.

Currently, Lesley Solano is mourning the death of her father, Jim Solano.

During one of the interviews, Lesley said that her father was a jokester and used to give her endearing nicknames. She added,

“He was the best dad,”
