Rian Carlsten, a member of the KAWS Wrestling Club, passed away, leaving behind his brother Aedan, who is also a wrestler in the same club.
Rian was a Senior at PLHS (Perry Lecompton High School), where he wrestled.
Following his passing, not just his brother, the whole Perry community is mourning the loss.

Rian was one of the three sons of Jason and Casey Carlsten, who lost his life on Wednesday, November 26, following a brief illness.
Among his three brothers, he is the oldest, with Aedan, aka Charlie, a freshman at PLHS, and his youngest brother, Liam, a fifth grader.
Both brothers, Aedan and Rian, were part of the Perry-Lecompton High School wrestling program, while Aedan is currently a manager for the PLHS wrestling team.
While little is known about the Carlsten family, it is known that they own and operate Lawrence Feed and Farm Supply.
Following Rian’s passing, community members have expressed their grief and support to the family, with one raising funds for the family via a GoFundMe campaign.
According to many, the Carlsten family is one of the nicest in the community, and everyone prays for them in this difficult time.
While many have expressed their grief and support, one individual in the Facebook comments section writes;
I’m devastated. These are the nicest folks anywhere, so hard working, lifelong friends and mentors to their customers whether pet owners, bird watchers or livestock producers. Their business is a mainstay for so many of us small local farmers. Holding all in my thoughts and prayers.
In the same post, another one writes;
My heart goes out to you as parents. I definitely know the pain. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
As of now, the family members have not scheduled the memorial service for the public, but they may soon reveal the funeral details after they take some time for private grieving.
