The Penn State Nittany Lions offense has relied on star Tyler Warren all season, and tonight’s College Football Playoff game against Boise State is no exception.

During Tuesday’s third quarter, Warren picked up his second touchdown reception to give Penn State a 24-14 lead.
So far tonight, the Mackey Award Winner has six receptions for 63 yards and two touchdowns, leading Penn State in all three categories.
With his latest reception, Warren became part of Penn State history. He moved up the list of all-time touchdown leaders and set the record for most receptions in a single season with 98.
Penn State head coach James Franklin raved about Warren in the days leading up to Tuesday night’s game. He told,
Tyler Warren, obviously, he’s a unique guy,” “Everybody talks about obviously his production as a receiver and as a runner, but it’s also as a blocker. He had some phenomenal blocks on Saturday. It helps that he’s 6’6″. He’s essentially 260 pounds. He’s able to block you like a traditional in-line tight end, or from the hip position.”

Tyler Warren Was Born To A Parents Who Have Sports Background
Penn State Nittany Lions tight end Tyler Warren, 25, was born in 2000 to his father, Terry Warren, and his mother, Sandy Warren.
Born to athlete parents, he became interested in sports from a young age.
He was raised in Mechanicsville, Virginia, and attended Atlee High School, where he played baseball and basketball and was the starting quarterback on the football team.
Tyler’s parents went to the University of Richmond with Trace McSorley’s parents. His father played college football with Rick McSorley from 1987 to 1990.
On the other hand, his mother, Sandy Warren, and Andrea McSorley were sorority sisters.
However, his parents have avoided media and interviews, so only limited information about their personal life is available.
In addition, Tyler’s grandparents were also former athletes. His grandfather, Steve Warren, played football at Wake Forest University, and his grandmother, Julia Warren, played basketball at Carson-Newman University.
On December 2, 2024, Jeff Sjversky uploaded a video on his YouTube channel in which the Nittany Lions’ coach, James Franklin, talked about Tyler’s parents while Penn State’s tight end broke records.
He made light of Tyler Warren’s remarkable career while joking about his parents, saying,
“I’m going to try to convince his parents, send them on one of those little romantic vacations up in the Poconos and try to convince his parents to have more. I don’t know if that’ll happen.”

Tyler Warren’s Family Has Connection With Irish Roots
Although Tyler Warren and his entire family live in the United States, his ancestors had a deep-rooted connection with his Irish heritage.
Therefore, Tyler’s family holds American nationality and Irish-American ethnicity.
Warren grew up with his brother TJ and sister Kelly Warren, who played softball at East Tennessee State University from 2018 to 2022.
Kelly, 25, was born on March 23, 1999, and plans to major in marketing/merchandising.
During high school, she lettered in softball and track & field for the Raiders and helped guide Atlee High School to the 2015, 2016, and 2017 5A Virginia State Championship titles.
As a Redshirt Senior, she was tabbed to the second-team All-SoCon, earned preseason recognition, and was a member of the Preseason All-SoCon’s first team in 2022.
She concluded her final year with a .259 batting average, ranking third on the squad.
Tyler Warren’s family also includes his aunt, Tracey George, who played soccer at the University of Delaware.
