He is the fifth child who grew up with his five siblings: three sisters, Daphney, Ludnie, and Berline, and two brothers, Frantz Jr. and Eveno.

Lugentz’s parents were originally from Saint-Marc, a commune in western Haiti in the Artibonite department, and moved to Canada when they were around 21.
