Nicole Giles is a science teacher at Hill Country Middle School in Austin, Texas.

She studied at UC Santa Barbara and graduated from Buena High School in Ventura, California. She now lives in Austin with her family.

Nicole Giles Had A Standout Career In Basketball And Softball Games

Before signing for Notre Dame, Jaden Greathouse’s mother suggested that he carefully consider his options now that he has four schools left.

She advised him to go into each visit with an open mind and try to see what each program offers.

After all, Nicole Greathouse had an impressive athletic career in high school and college.

She played basketball at UC Santa Barbara (UCSB), where she became a key player for the Gauchos.

As a sophomore, Greathouse averaged 7.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, ranking second on the team in rebounds and becoming one of the top players in the Big West Conference.

Greathouse started all 33 games in her freshman season and set a UCSB freshman record with 274 rebounds.

Greathouse was also known for her free-throw shooting, finishing her sophomore year with a 74.4% free-throw percentage, one of the best on the team.

In addition to basketball, she joined the UCSB softball team, where she made her debut as a pitcher, earning a victory in her first collegiate appearance.

She was a four-time All-State selection, a USA Today All-American, and the CIF Division I Co-Player of the Year in 1997.
