Nikita Ní Laimhín (also known as Nikita Hand) has been providing evidence in her civil lawsuit against MMA fighter Conor McGregor, claiming he raped her at a hotel in Dublin in 2018, while McGregor denies the allegation.
Per the evidence, Conor McGregor picked up Nikita Ní Laimhín, a hairdresser from Dublin, and her friend after a Christmas party on December 8, 2018.

Ní Laimhín’s lawyer, John Gordon, acknowledged she had been drinking and using cocaine that night and had a history of depression.
After partying at her salon, she and her friends were driven by McGregor to a penthouse suite at the Beacon Hotel, where they continued drinking and socializing.
Gordon told the court that McGregor later invited Ní Laimhín into a bedroom, where he allegedly became forceful despite her objections.
She claimed he pinned her down, causing injuries to her wrists and chest. Gordon described how McGregor allegedly continued to overpower her, leaving her terrified.
After the incident, Ní Laimhín went home and later sought medical help.
A doctor from the Rotunda Hospital, Dr. Daniel Keane, testified that Ní Laimhín was visibly upset and in significant pain when she arrived at the hospital.

She confirmed she grew up in Drimnagh and had a young daughter.

People were outraged, with many calling for McGregor to be imprisoned.
Dr. Daniel Keane, the first witness, testified that he opened a sexual assault examination kit to collect DNA samples in the presence of a Garda.

Dr. Keane described multiple injuries on the complainant’s (Nikita Hand) body, including an abrasion on the right side of her jawline and neck, as well as bruises on her right arm, fingers, knuckles, left arm, and upper back.
He noted two bruises on her right buttock and three on her left, which appeared to be consistent with handprints and were purple. There was also a bruise on her right breast.
Dr. Keane mentioned a 9cm-long scratch or abrasion on her breast and four purple bruises on the top of her right leg.
He also observed two bruises on her lower leg near the kneecap and another bruise on the side of her lower leg. Three more separate bruises were found toward the center of her lower body.
Dr Kane says Nikita told him:
The horrifying details include how Dr. Kane found a tampon “wedged at the very top” and made the decision to remove it using forceps during the examination.
