NFL Wednesday Wakeup – NFL Week 3

NFL Week 3 starts THIS Thursday and it’s time for the NFL Wednesday Wakeup!

Dallas Cowboys to Waive Taco Charlton

Say WHAT? Nope, not kidding. It’s going to happen later today as the Dallas Cowboys make room on the 53 for DE Robert Quin, who is coming back from suspension. How do you spell “bust?” There will more on this later from our own Ben Grimaldi (I am sure). Leaving this line here so the editor can add the link to that post when it comes. (Ed note: done)

Drew Brees Out 6-8 Weeks

If you somehow were not aware, the Saints have a problem at QB with All-World signal-caller Drew Brees out with torn thumb ligaments. They do have Teddy Bridgwater so the world is not all dark, but Teddy looked VERY rusty. They kept him around for a reason, the man has skills. Sean Peyton will work this out.

In late-breaking news the Saints will NOT be placing Brees on IR and have listed him as “week-to-week.”

Jaguars Jalen Ramsey Wants Trade

The Jaguars continue to devolve and it’s a total shame to watch this trove of talent that was built through savvy drafting disintegrate into mediocrity. It was only two years ago this team was on the verge of a Super Bowl. Now, they are on the verge of falling totally apart. Hell, that’s already happened. Ramsey will get traded. It’s only a matter of when and to whom. Sad days.

Eli Manning Era is Over

There are just as many New York Giants fans pining over the fact Eli Manning is “no more” as there are fans giddy over getting to unwrap the new toy at QB Daniel Jones. It’s a mystery as to which is getting more ink right now. When Daniel Jones looks solid this Sunday versus a TOUGH Buccaneers team that will change.

Eagles Need Bodies

The Philadelphia Eagles have so many injured players they almost don’t have enough to practice. They are so thin they indeed canceled “padded practice” for Wednesday instead electing to have a “walk-thru” session specifically to avoid further injury.

The Big Ben Era is ….

No one knows but all the movements and statements make it seem like the beginning of the end. It’s Mason Rudolph time in Steel Town. Get ready for a ride. The kid is talented.

It’s going to be an AWESOME week of football. Starts this Thursday!
