David Johnson 2019 Fantasy Outlook

#6 RB David Johnson 2019 Fantasy Outlook

David Johnson (Cardinals)

6'1, 224 lbs

The David Johnson 2019 Fantasy Outlook is fraught with risk. Johnson is a great player, and a first round pick in most fantasy drafts but does come with some risk with all the changes on offense. New head coach Kliff Kingsbury is installing the "Air Raid" system and rookie QB Kyler Murray will be calling the shots.

Even in a bad year, Johnson got over 1,300 total yards and 10 TDs. A new offense is coming but it can't be any worse than what the Cardinals ran out last season. With Murry's running skills, the read-option, and Johnson finally not being the focal point of the defense, his arrow is pointing straight up.

The Cards still have Larry Fitzgerald, drafted Christian Kirk in the second year last year, and added Andy Isabella in the draft. Murray has weapons and Johnson might not hit the 1000 rushing/ 1000 receiving he predicted a couple of years ago but might be close if Murray can stay healthy.

The Cards quarterback is a couple of inches too small, but that's not affecting David Johnson from being a huge fantasy player this year. After the first few running backs go, take Johnson and his 500 receiving yards on top of what he does rushing.
