Ravens Cut Safety Tony Jefferson

Ravens Cut Safety Tony Jefferson

On Friday the Baltimore Ravens announced as much. On a four-year $34 million dollar contract, the veteran safeties 2019 campaign ended after five games. Chuck Clark handled the duties in studly fashion and the Ravens cut safety Tony Jefferson saving roughly $7 million in cap space.

Jefferson, still rehabbing his ACL injury, gets a break from Baltimore as he is in the free-agent pool early maximizing his ability to get the best deal he can. He should get plenty of interest as his skill set is solid, yet the ACL injury will water down the perks and reduce any guaranteed money.
