Can you imagine being a bad kick in overtime by a rookie kicker away from being 11-0? That’s how the 49ers and their fans feel right now after taking down the Packers on Sunday Night 37-8. The 49ers defense set the tone with a strip-sack on the Packers’ first drive to set up a short field for Jimmy Garoppolo and the offense. After that, they never looked back.

The 49ers would beat the Packers 37-8 to improve to 10-1. The last time the 49ers had double-digit wins in a single season was 2013.

All season the narrative has been well who have the 49ers faced? They are pretenders. Just wait until they face the best of the best. The Packers have been one of the best teams in the NFL and another victim of the 49ers defense.

Aaron Rodgers completed 20 of his 33 pass attempts but only managed 104 yards and one touchdown. He would be sacked five times by the 49ers defense and then finally benched in the fourth quarter after the 49ers scored their fourth touchdown.

But it wasn’t all defense in this one as the 49ers saw the return of THE best tight end in the game George Kittle. The running game has gone nowhere with Kittle’s absence but returned against the Packers with 112 total yards on 22 attempts. That would be a nice little 5.1 yards a carry. That’s how you run the ball.

But the handsome one got in his licks as well, calm down ladies, and a few gentlemen. He managed over 250 yards and two touchdowns for a quarterback rating of 145.8. Not sure, but I think that’s pretty good.

The 49ers have a tough road ahead of them as they travel to the east coast to face the Ravens and then down to New Orleans against the Saints. But one thing 2019 has taught us is you can’t count the 49ers out and if you’re not careful they will punch you in the mouth.

Do you think that 49ers vs Packers 37-8 score was a reflection of the great 49ers team or Aaron Rodgers not having his day?
