Drew Brees Injury out 6-8 weeks

Drew Brees Injury - Out 6-8 Weeks

Drew Brees injury means the Saints will be out 6-8 weeks and it is now Teddy Bridgwater time.

The New Orleans Saints had a bad day. The NFL refs screwed them on a bad call (again) taking a fumble return for a TD off the board when replay clearly showed the play to be valid, but that was not the worst news of the day.

The worst news of the day was when LA Rams DT Aaron Donald tried to high five Brees just as he was releasing the ball and the ensuing smack resulted in a torn thumb ligament for the future Hall of Fame QB.

It hurt to watch and the implications of the injury are huge. Bridgwater is a solid talent. He isn't Drew Brees. There is only one of those.

6-8 weeks is not an entire season. Yet it may as well be unless the Saints can at least manage to break even over that span giving them a chance to make a late-season run.

The NFL should not make the Saints play the Rams ever again. Seriously. It's just not right.
