While many details about Tyler Owens’ parents are not publicly disclosed, it is known that his father’s name is Ed and his mother’s name is Debbie.
In 2019, Tyler was recognized in the All-American Dream program and was awarded the #19 jersey, with his parents in attendance.

After receiving the All-American Dream honor, Tyler gave a speech thanking his family, parents, and teammates. He said:
I’d like to thank God for all the countless blessings and opportunities. I’d like to thank my family and friends, my coaches for their love and support, and the guidance to help me get here. I’d like to thank you all for coming out to support me and my family for my achievements. And my teammates, it’s been an awesome four years. The hard work we’ve put in through the off-season, just working out with speed weights, has been amazing. Even though our season didn’t last as long as we hoped, I want to thank all of you for choosing me to be a part of this. It’s truly a blessing, and I’m grateful. Thank you.
Following his entry into the Texas Longhorns, Owens began his college football career at the University of Texas, where he played as a defensive back.
Later, Owens participated in the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, where he impressed scouts with his athletic abilities. Notably, he recorded the second-best broad jump in Combine history, highlighting his explosiveness.
While he continued to develop his skills and establish his NFL career, Owens faced some criticism in 2024 for sharing his unconventional religious beliefs.
At the 2024 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, he expressed his views, stating:
“I don’t believe in space, I’m real religious, so I think we’re alone right now. I don’t think there’s other planets and other stuff like that. I thought I used to believe in the heliocentric thing where we used to revolve around the sun and stuff. But then I started seeing flat earth stuff and I was like, this is kind of interesting. They started bringing up valid points, so I mean I don’t know, could be real, couldn’t be.”
Despite his unconventional religious beliefs, he now appears to be thriving in his career, making his parents proud.
