Strengths:
One thing we know for sure is, Renell Wren loves the gym. This kid is all muscle and he showed us at the Combine when he bench pressed 30 reps. His unbelievable frame and length coupled with raw power make him a threat every time he steps on to the field. He has impeccable timing when getting off the line and is a disruptive force to opposing guards and centers.
There are plenty of snaps on tape where he walks offensive lineman back into the quarterback. He is that strong.
Weaknesses:
When he jumps off the line, he stands too upright, giving his opposite number a bigger target to attack, he needs to stay low and drive through the opposition. He has trouble disengaging with his hands. In fact, he needs to work on his hand technique in general.
Sometimes he plays out of control, meaning he does more than he needs to do to get the job done. This won’t be a problem for long. He has incredible talent and will get a starting gig with some good training.
Giphy:
Wren does a great job to get through the line and get after the QB.

Overall Review:
Great prospect. Talent in droves. This guy is a dominant player and will cause headaches for offensive coaches for years to come.
I’m high on Wren, I can see him going mid-2nd round.
