NFL Draft WR Depth

NFL Draft WR Depth

Your team can have a top 10 pick in the draft and not get a player at a position they desperately need if that group of players doesn't have two things. Blue-chip talent AND depth. Put another way, unless you are holding the number one, overall pick in the NFL Draft then you are acutely aware of how deep a critical position group is. That being said, if for the upcoming NFL Draft your team is needing a home run at the WR position, we have good news.

2020 NFL Draft WR Depth

It's freaking HUGE! We are talking about a plethora of blue-chippers backed up by solid tiers of guys who could and should develop, some into elites. This is an exciting, boatload of talent entering a league that runs on the passing game, pun intended. But don't take just my word for it. Let's take a look at the Pundit Quote Roundup on the subject below:

The 2020 wide receiver class is loaded with premier talent. There are about 20 pass catchers with the potential to come off the board in the first three rounds, and history has shown us that future stars could hear their names called on Day 2 (see: Michael ThomasDeebo Samuel and A.J. Brown, to name a few)

Bucky Brooks - Analyst

" This year's wide receiver class might just be even better than you've heard. All 10 players below make the top 40 on PFF's latest draft board, "

PFF Analyst Michael Renner

"In 2004, the NFL was graced with the presence of wide receiver prospect Larry Fitzgerald. Fresh off two amazing years at the University of Pittsburgh, Fitzgerald anchored a deep position group that saw seven players selected in Round 1—a number that hasn't been topped since. The 2020 group has a chance to beat this."

Matt Miller Bleacher Report

" Last year we saw only two wide receivers taken in the first round of the draft in Marquise Brown of the Baltimore Ravens and N’Keal Harry of the New England Patriots. This year, however, there will be a boatload of talented wide receivers selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, three or four of which could go in the first round. "

Cory Kinan - Fansided

You get the gist. High ceiling, wide room. This group of guys could help push the passing game to new heights in today's NFL. If you pay attention to nothing else this NFL Draft season, watch this group of kids find their way to greatness. It's going to be a heck of a ride. And if your team absolutely has to have some help at WR, rest easy, the cupboard is full.
