The NFL Camp news is flowing at a high rate right now as we count down to the first week of the NFL 2020 season. Time to focus in on a few choice tidbits. NFL Camp News Dallas Cowboys Camp News Dallas is getting a jump on the cut to 53. QB Clayton Thorson, OL Adam Redmond, and WR Devin Smith will reportedly be joined by OT Pace Murphy, TE Charlie Taumoepeau, and OTs Mitch Hyatt and Wyatt Miller per Todd Archer, ESPN. Those cuts were all put to the wayside when the team cut prized free-agent acquisition Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. The 'boys are making plenty of moves and making them early. Rumors abound in regards to Jerry Jones eyeing Earl Thomas as a potential solution. No official word yet. Kansas City Chiefs Camp News 4-year NFL player Taco Charlton is a former first round pick, former Dallas Cowboys DE, former Miami Dolphins DE and current Kansas City Chiefs DE and wild-card. The kid has talent but was a late bloomer in college blowing up his final season at the University of Michigan. His NFL career has followed a similar path as his collegiate one as he has flashed, yet been amazingly inconsistent. Chiefs coaches are raving about him though and (reportedly) star-DE Frank Clark has taken Taco under his wing. The kid has talent, yet under-achieving is in his DNA. Could this be his year to blossom? The Chiefs think so and that my friends is a scary proposition for the rest of the NFL. New England Patriots Camp News It's official. Cam Newton will be the starting QB for the Pats this season. Make no bones about it, this was a real competition, yet still, one that Newton ran away with. Stidham was fighting injury most of camp and Hoyer wasn't good enough. Belichick has had to "make do" with a fairly non-mobile QB for quite a few years now. It's going to be more than a little interesting to see what his plans are for Cam come game day. As versatile as Belichik is, this could very well be a week-to-week change up. Football just got a lot more interesting in New England. Seattle Seahawks Camp News No faces like old faces. The Hawks worked out OL Justin Britt and DE Damontre Moore. Britt is on the good side of injury recovery after he blew out his ACL in week 8 last season. The former second round pick is a solid interior player. I am very surprised he was still available in free agency. Damontre Moore is a talented guy who is seemingly getting better as he ages. A very intelligent player, Moore has that rare ability to self-improve as his motor and dedication are keeping him in the game. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Camp News Leonard Fournette cleared waivers, filed a $4 million grievance against his former team then signed a new deal with the Bucs to join Tom Brady and crew as they try and do the NBA thing and create an immediate winner for a beleaguered franchise via free-agency and wink-nod, Bobs-your-uncle deals. It's great news for long-suffering Buccaneer fans as the laundry list of stars signing up to play with Tom Brady is getting ridiculous (in a good way). Tampa Bay is deeeeeep on the offensive side of the ball. Bruce Arians is no slouch as a head coach and the NFC South just keeps getting more interesting by the day.
