Tiger Bech, 28, passed away in a New Orleans hospital on the 1st of January morning, as reported by Kim Broussard, athletic director at St. Thomas More Catholic High School.

A truck drove into a crowd at the busy intersection of Bourbon and Canal streets in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.
It resulted in the deaths of at least 15 people and left many others injured.
Authorities are investigating the incident as a possible terrorist attack.
Bech, a former football player at STM, went on to play at Princeton University.
Bech, who played multiple positions at St. Thomas More (STM), including wide receiver, quarterback, punt returner, and defensive back, was highly accomplished in high school sports.
In his senior year, he earned all-state honors and was selected for the All-Acadiana Regional and All-District First Teams.
In addition to football, Bech excelled in lacrosse and track. He led his lacrosse team to a state championship, reaching the state semifinals three times.
He earned a degree in finance from Princeton in 2021 and later worked as a trader at Seaport Global, a New York-based brokerage firm, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In honor of Bech’s memory, STM held a prayer service to celebrate his life.
The school’s principal, Marty Cannon, described Bech as one of a kind, with athletic talent and a respectful demeanor.

Jack Bech is a wide receiver for the TCU Horned Frogs football team, having previously played for the LSU Tigers.
Raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, Jack Bech also attended St. Thomas More High School.

His father, Martin Bech, is the Vice President and General Counsel at Acadian Companies, based in Lafayette, Louisiana.
He has extensive experience providing legal and strategic advice in the oil & gas and healthcare industries.
Martin’s expertise includes corporate law, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory affairs, and public company reporting.
Also, Martin Bech served as General Counsel at Linear Controls and President and General Counsel at Medco Energi USA, Inc.
He holds a law degree from Loyola University New Orleans and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and French from Louisiana State University.
