A mother from Atlanta, Dominique Foster, has made a serious accusation against Atlanta Public Schools, claiming her children have been treated unfairly and neglected.
According to Foster, her son Mari, who was in 6th grade last year, was moved up to 8th grade this year despite being younger for that grade level.
Her son, Mari, was academically excellent but was removed from the school football team due to his poor grades in his final year.
Atlanta Mother Voices Strong Accusation Against Atlanta Public Schools Over Her Children
Mari is a talented athlete who plays football at his local high school in Atlanta.
According to Mari’s mother’s Facebook post, he was allowed to practice and play in games despite some medical concerns.
During a basketball game, he sustained an injury that resulted in a broken tooth.
His mother, Foster claims, the coach downplayed the injury, and Mari did not receive any medical attention.
She has received some help with his medical bills twice, but the school reportedly told her they will no longer assist.
The neglect from the school does not end with Froster’s son; her daughter, Yanna, was also affected.
She was removed from the school cheer team due to a physical issue that had been disclosed months earlier.
Foster has not received a refund for the expenses she paid for Yanna’s participation, adding to her frustration.
Following the frustration, Dominique Foster shared the post on Facebook, raising concerns about school negligence.
Many community members have also expressed their support for Foster, advising her to seek legal help from a lawyer.
In contrast, others have suggested that she address her concerns with the school authorities or the Board of Education.
As of now, Atlanta Public Schools have not taken any action regarding Foster’s issues, but she continues to raise her concerns by seeking support from the community.
